I am twelve weeks along now so almost out of the first trimester. We were going to wait a bit longer to spill the beans, but it turns out that I am not one of the those women who can hide second pregnancies (my pregnancy with Ryan was so easy to hide! No one at the job I started at sixteen weeks could tell I was pregnant...or at least they said they didn't). And I was getting sick of wearing the same few things in public that barely concealed Baby's growing mansion in my belly. Thus, the lion shared his news.
Other than that tell-tale pregnant feeling, I feel guilty to say that my only symptom has been exhaustion thus far. I actually fell asleep while putting Ryan down for a nap when we had our home blessed! I am guessing that I inherited this from my grandma who didn't really experience morning sickness (many, many thanks to you, Grandma!). But who knows, I hope to be pregnant many more times so the jury is still out.
Oops, forgot to say that hormone swings are another prevalent symptom. Chris would never forget that those exist, poor husband.
Well let's jump to the bump.
1. Rolled my clothes up to create a more realistic pregnant bridesmaid dress image for my best friend's wedding in August. Here's to hoping ordering two sizes up works...(thanks for the photo, Ashley!) 2. The ONLY reason I could fit into my wedding dress was because the fabric stretched so much throughout the actual wedding day. It was literally falling down at the end of the reception...100% sure I would not have been able to fit into that dress if it were brand new. |

You are still plenty small ;-) But you're looking great!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Ryan's face :-) God bless!
ReplyDeleteAw your bump is so cute! I definitely showed a lot more a lot earlier with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies - had to spill the beans early for the same reason as you :)
ReplyDeleteLove that pregnant bridesmaid dress! And the wedding dress picture is such a hoot - I've never tried mine on since we got married but now I kind of want to (it's got a corset back, so it wouldn't be that much of an accomplishment :P).
Congratulations! That's such wonderful news.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that two of my nieces are pregnant--they're both about 12 weeks, just like you. (One is due Oct. 30, and I'm not sure of the exact due date of the other.)
You would probably all be great friends--maybe we can get you young moms together at an ND tailgater one of these days! :)
That would be so fun!
DeleteCongratulations! That is so fantastic! I missed the last blog post and was confused when I saw the bump in the wedding dress! How awesome you can still fit in it though. Makes me want to try mine on again! I hope you stay feeling well and that your pregnancy goes smoothly :)
ReplyDeleteI am so thrilled for you, Katrina! You look incredibly adorable! I love your pg wedding dress pose! Ha!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you, your husband, and the big bro!
