Besides the fact that I am terrible at making decisions so many options of strawberries exaggerates that weakness, all I feel is guilt the entire time when I'm at the farmer's market. I feel like I'm throwing tomatoes at the people when I push my stroller-turned-pack-camel right past their pints of strawberries. I'm uncomfortable just thinking about the hurt (real or imagined) in their eyes when I don't choose to buy from them.
Anyone else feel like this? Or am I the only farmer's market wimp out there?
Ryan wasn't impressed, but I was ecstatic. |
Farmer's Markets= delicious baked goods!! It keeps me going back weekly! :) Hope you are feeling well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I am! Hope you are, too!
DeleteAnd baked goods are always a reason to go back.
Totally agree about being overwhelmed by options and feeling guilty at our farmer's market. Maybe we're just lucky to have such an extensive offering? PS- Love the new header! Woman of many talents!
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm not alone! And thank you :) although I am more "Woman who can read blog tutorials."
DeleteWell your farmer's market is quite large! Most markets I've been to are relatively small and don't have multiple people offering the same stuff! Also, Ryan's face is cracking me up.
ReplyDeleteI never even knew that ours was large! I guess I have only been comparing it to the downtown Chicago one and then the markets I saw in Europe. I think a truly small one would be perfect for me.
DeleteHahaha I only feel bad when I take a sample and don't buy something. But the SB farmer's market is huge so I don't feel so bad. I mean really, no one there actually remembers who bought something from them and who didn't! Just remind yourself that no one is thinking about that one girl with the baby that didn't buy strawberries!
ReplyDeleteI need to keep this in mind! And yes, I feel extra guilty when I sample and don't buy...especially when Ryan grabs more than one! Oops.
