What I Wore For My Sunday Best

Linking up with Fine Linen and Purple for What I Wore Sunday and Camp Patton for Sunday Best, as usual.

Happy Sunday!

We went to the 10am Mass at the Basilica this morning, and, get this, Chris only took Ryan out one time for maybe 30 seconds. After Mass, we ran into Fr. Rocca, the rector of the Basilica. I commented that Ryan actually stayed inside for the majority of the mass, and Fr. Rocca turned to Ryan and cheerfully confided, "I saw! Your dad only took you out once today!"

Uhhhhhh.

Stunned silence and then nervous laughs because oh-my-goodness, he must have seen the many, many times Ryan was in the church for maybe one minute. Yikes.

After that moment of parental embarrassment, we took our plump boy to feed the plump campus squirrels with my mom and sister who are in town! My dress is a thrift store find and very typical of my non-maternity maternity preferences; it's stretchy and there is side ruching. Pair it with some maternity Spanx and heels, and you are good to go. Plus, the cap sleeves  were just long enough to cover my sunburn from yesterday's rugby escapades.
My dress - St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store (the brand is American Living so I'm guessing it is from JCPenney originally). Shoes: Lauren Ralph Lauren via Marshall's. Bump: 20 weeks.

  6. Your dress is so elegant and shows off that baby bump just beautifully! And don't worry, my husband and I like to say all babies are Pentecostals--they raise their voice in praise whenever they feel led by the spirit. ;)

    1. They are the best! I love getting to wear them postpartum (okay, really post-postpartum because stretchy isn't the best for that haha).

    1. Believe me, I do not care at all about the sucking in! My belly can stick out as much as it wants! I'm all for avoiding the muffin top and panty lines that all of my underwear create as the weeks go along. And so it is Spanx :)
