Chris and I are definitely not a perfect married couple. We have our petty fights and our huffing and puffing fights. Ever since we dated, we planned on not fighting in front of our future children. Constructive arguments and disagreements, yes. Emotional and irrational fights, no.
Of course, what was planned doesn't always happen. Lunch yesterday was one of those times when hormones reached an emotional plateau (me) and impatience flared (both). There was a mockingbird at the table with us.
Blah, blah blah, that's crazy.
Ryan: Crazy!!
Blah, blah, blah, you don't understand!
Ryan: Stand!
Blah, blah, blah, love it. (sarcastic tone)
Ryan: Love it!!! (excited tone).
And with that Chris and I both failed at keeping our angry faces as we burst out laughing thanks to our dear parroting pacifier.
You're a keeper, kid. But I hope we don't utilize your conflict resolution services often.
Look at that face - he is precious!
ReplyDeleteSo cute holding all those balls. Your little pacifier is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable (the blog first and foremost, and the cute little Ryan...beautiful......Katrina, you make me smile. Our conflict resolution service is visited upon occasion when Dad (my husband) is really mad at me which for some reason occasionally makes me burst out laughing for no reason (which is the worst thing I could possibly do!)....don't know why it happens, but for some reason it adds the comic relief that is needed at the time. Usually, he leaves the room frustrated and shaking his head, but seems to understand that I'm not trying to be disrespectful...just stressed. God bless.
