We're Going to the (Log) Chapel and We're Gonna Get Baptized

Last Saturday, Conor was baptized in the Log Chapel on campus. Thankfully, the sacrament occurred even though I discovered that the key to the chapel was no longer in my purse pocket two hours before the scheduled time. An 'F' for me! St. Anthony helped my sister find it in our car, and all was fine and dandy until Conor told Chris that he didn't like his shirt choice via spit up. Despite all of that, we made it to the chapel.

Now we have a child of God. As Father baptized him, I realized that it was comforting to me as a mother who is merely a child of God herself, that no matter what, there is a love that is greater than my own for my children embracing them for all of eternity.

It was a great day. Chris put it perfectly when Father asked him to speak after the baptism.

There is nothing more wonderful than welcoming a child into your family.

Kissing the newly baptized. Ryan chanted, "Bottom! Bottom! Bottom!" which means Baptism in case you didn't know.

Uncle Johnny was very, very interested.
We love Conor's godparents! My brother flew in from North Carolina, and Chris' sister flew in from Berkeley.

Thank you to Chris' family and my family who worked hard to create a feast for us to celebrate Conor's big day!
